- created gradient variants and variant coding effects for different kinds of dream mode levels, and optimized the code to run much faster. it still runs slower than i'd like, but it probably won't get too much faster with further optimizations. almost done with this task, i just want to finish varying the effects for the 4 types. i should finish it early tomorrow, and then use the rest of the 31st to try to make a dent in the bug list
