- in SD, continued working on the global.surfaces option, finding places that directly use surfaces and converting them into something like "if (global.surfaces) {do the old thing} else {do an alternative}". there's a lot of these left
- in ID, continued porting to studio; i got the game to go into the initial part of a level (which took a lot of code fixing), although a lot of the graphics are messed up and the game crashes after that initial part (the text dialogue), and doesn't run at all if a certain object isn't deleted... so as you can see there's a long way to go here, but i'm happy with the progress that at least the levels can now be entered at all
