My online friend Patrick Dugan is supposedly staying over my house for the night later on today (he's on a trip and doesn't want to pay for a hotel).
I showed my sister some of his videos and she thought they were pretty crazy, that he talks like a surfer, that his sentences ramble, that he talks like a pothead, that he makes up rules as he goes along and loses his train of thought, and that he may be speaking about interesting things but that it's impossible to take him seriously due to the way he talks, and watching them with her I agree, but I'm still looking forward to meeting him.
But I kind of also wonder how bad I would look on web cam. It's only the trained professionals or those with a knack for it that seem "normal" on YouTube. Normal people might instead seem crazy, due to people being used to those who have very good control over how they come across in video.
Maybe I'll make a YouTube video or 33 (like Patrick has, he has 33 videos up) to test this out.
EDIT: Update, he arrived, we went to the great falls, we went to Libby's Lunch, talked about various things, he showed me a game about the singularity, I said I'd try to be more active in reviewing games for Play This Thing, my mother made quinoa and shrimp and he said it was great, we watched TV. I was & am sleepy through the whole thing due to this being my current sleeping time.
