One thing not mentioned there is that it is also one of the only creatures that does not and can not get cancer.

I did, but didn't find anything about them not being able to get cancer, just tumors. Good indication, but I don't think it's the same thing.

Hmm, afaik virtually all cancer involves tumors, with the exception of leukemia. If a person was immune from any cancer but leukemia, you'd just as well say that they could not get cancer, because leukemia is different enough from other forms of cancer that it's almost a separate entity.
